Mary Silva is running for the U.S. House in Washington’s 1st Congressional District in the November 3, 2026, general election. The official King County Elections candidate list identifies Silva as preferring the Republican Party and her opponent, Suzan DelBene, as preferring the Democratic Party.

On her campaign’s biography page, Silva describes herself as an audiologist who has worked in the community for approximately 20 years. She says she entered the race because she wants ordinary community members to participate more directly in public life.

Her campaign platform calls for bringing semiconductor manufacturing and other technology work to the United States. She proposes changes to the H-1B visa program, expanded apprenticeships and vocational retraining.

Silva also proposes stricter security-clearance procedures, a Pentagon audit, voter identification requirements and a national voting holiday. Her platform emphasizes individual decision-making in healthcare and stronger restrictions on warrantless collection of personal data. These are campaign proposals, rather than descriptions of current law.

Her biography page says she would listen to constituents and seek common ground. This profile draws on her own campaign materials and the official ballot list.
