A Korean dessert café and cocktail lounge called K-Cafe Dabang & Lounge plans to open in November at 460 106th Ave. NE, the ground-floor restaurant space at Bellevue Towers.
The Bellevue location will be the brand's second. K-Cafe Dabang operates its first café at 3333 184th St. SW in Lynnwood, where the menu centers on cream coffees, matcha drinks and Korean desserts such as bingsu, a shaved ice dish topped with injeolmi rice cake. The Bellevue outpost will add cocktails to that lineup, according to the Downtown Bellevue Network, which first reported the opening on Oct. 2.
The café described its concept on Instagram as serving coffee in the morning, matcha in the afternoon and cocktails at night, with small bites throughout the day. Signature drinks include the Einspänner, an espresso topped with a thick layer of sweet cream, along with yogurt lattes and specialty matcha.
The dessert menu also features croffles, a croissant dough cooked in a waffle iron.
K-Cafe Dabang is a sister restaurant to Wild Wasabi Signature and Wild Wasabi Sushi. The brand takes its name from the dabang, the traditional Korean coffee house. The word translates to "tea house."
The Bellevue Towers space has had several tenants since 2010. Heavy Restaurant Group opened Lot No. 3 there that May, and the two-story pub operated for a decade before closing in August 2020.
SuperKim Crab House moved in during December 2024. It shut down by May 2025. A representative told the Downtown Bellevue Network that the all-electric kitchen made the seafood menu difficult to prepare consistently.
The same owner reopened the space as SuperKim Khao Man Gai, a Thai chicken-and-rice spot, on May 28, 2025. That restaurant closed July 27, 2025, and relocated to Seattle's Pioneer Square.
Three restaurants have closed at the address since 2020, two of them since December 2024.
No specific opening date within November has been announced. K-Cafe Dabang's Lynnwood location is open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
