Twenty-six artists will display three-dimensional sculptures, glass pieces and ceramics among the flowerbeds and woodlands of Bellevue Botanical Garden starting Aug. 28, with work shown in the same setting buyers would use at home.

Arts in the Garden, the annual outdoor art sale organized by the Bellevue Botanical Garden Society, runs Friday through Sunday, Aug. 30 at the 53-acre garden at 12001 Main St. in the Wilburton neighborhood.

The event opens Friday with exclusive member shopping from noon to 2 p.m., then welcomes the general public from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday wraps up from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Artists working in kiln-formed glass, recycled glass, copper, concrete, mosaics, driftwood and mixed media will display pieces throughout the Garden's paths and beds. Among them: Bellevue-based Wishpoosh Design, the husband-and-wife team of Aiko Vail and Poul Erickson, who create kiln-formed glass and wood pieces; Seattle's Bedrock Industries, where Maria Ruano works entirely in 100% recycled glass; and Bothell artist Steve Hopkins of Hoppy's Garden Art, known for copper and glass sprinklers.

The official event page describes the sale as a chance to browse work from 26 artists displayed among the Garden's flowerbeds and woodlands.

Saturday and Sunday bring food trucks FINN and El Koreano, plus live music. Third Harbour performs Saturday at noon. On Sunday, the Bellevue Ukesters play at 10:30 a.m. and Take Seventeen takes the stage at 1 p.m. King County Metro is listed as a sponsor on the official page.

The event launched in 2010 and drew a record 9,000 visitors in 2021, according to BellevueDowntown.com's 2022 coverage. The Garden itself sees roughly 400,000 visitors annually.

Parking in the Garden's lot costs $10. Free parking is available at Wilburton Hill Park.
