Bellevue-headquartered Auger, the supply-chain AI company founded by former Amazon executive Dave Clark, closed a $50 million Series B funding round, bringing its total raised to $150 million.
The round involved Oak HC/FT and Eclipse, according to GeekWire reporting published July 9. Oak HC/FT also backed Auger's $100 million Series A when the company launched in 2024.
Clark spent 23 years at Amazon, rising to CEO of the Worldwide Consumer division, where he oversaw more than $600 billion in gross merchandise sales and led 1.5 million employees. He left in 2022, served briefly as CEO of logistics firm Flexport, then co-founded Auger with his wife, Leigh Anne Clark, who serves as president of fashion and beauty.
What the platform does
Unlike most supply-chain software that flags problems and waits for a human response, Auger's system acts on its own. If a supplier misses a shipment, the platform identifies the shortage, determines which customers to prioritize, shifts inventory, and updates existing systems before an employee steps in, according to 425business.com.
"Supply chains exist in the real world — that's what makes them messy," Clark told NBC News. "The thing that's most predictable about supply chains is that it's unpredictable."
Customers already on board
Sports retailer Fanatics uses Auger to handle roughly 85% of its supply-chain decisions, according to 425business.com. Meta's Reality Labs was the company's first long-term client, and consumer-goods giant Kimberly-Clark is also a customer, GeekWire reported.
The company said it is working with additional businesses through pilot programs and contract negotiations, according to 425business.com.
Auger was also named a premier supply-chain partner on Microsoft Fabric, according to 425business.com.
What's next
Clark told 425business.com he has set a goal of routing half of all U.S. gross commodity product through Auger's platform by 2030. That target is ambitious given the company's current roster of three named clients, but Auger is actively expanding. No specific hiring numbers or office-expansion plans have been announced.
