A lantern-lit night market featuring artisan vendors, street food and Asian-inspired cultural programming is coming to Bellevue's Spring District on Saturday, Oct. 3.

The Autumn Moon Night Market runs from 2 to 7 p.m. in the parking lot beside Sound Transit's Spring District Station at 12040 NE Spring Blvd.

Northwest Marketplaces, the Seattle-based producer behind the event, described it as a destination for families, visitors and food lovers built around the flavors and traditions of the autumn season.

The Oct. 3 market is the second date in the Bellevue Night Market Series, a two-event pilot funded through the city's Community Programming Fund.

The first event, the Bellevue Sunset Market, drew shoppers to the same Spring District lot on Thursday, Sept. 17, with 50 vendors, food trucks, handmade goods and live music, according to the city's event listing.

That weekday market ran from 4 to 8 p.m.

The stakes go beyond one afternoon. Northwest Marketplaces is using the two events to gauge what Bellevue residents want from a recurring night market. The weekday Sunset Market and the larger weekend Autumn Moon format give the organizer a direct comparison of audience preferences, vendor needs and programming options.

"We see this first season as the beginning of a conversation with the Bellevue community," Ryan Reiter of Northwest Marketplaces told 425 Business. "Our hope is that these two events will help us discover the right mix of vendors, programming, food, culture, and community experiences to create something people look forward to every month."

Feedback from vendors, attendees and community partners after Oct. 3 will shape whether a monthly Bellevue Night Market launches in 2027.

The Spring District parking lot is a testing ground, not a permanent home. Northwest Marketplaces has said a move to Downtown Bellevue is on the table for a future series.

The city's event listing notes the market series is community-led and city-supported but not hosted by the City of Bellevue.

Northwest Marketplaces has operated a European-style street market in Seattle for 27 years and launched the Bellevue New Year's Eve Night Market with the city.

Admission details for the Oct. 3 event have not been posted.

The Sept. 17 Sunset Market was listed as free.
