Bellevue's biggest Fourth of July party lands at Downtown Park on Saturday, July 4, with free admission, live music, more than 25 food vendors, and a fireworks show that's been a community tradition for nearly 30 years.

"Bellevue's Fourth of July celebration brings our community together in a way few events can," Mayor Mo Malakoutian said in a city announcement, noting the event coincides with the nation's 250th anniversary of independence.

The event runs from 5 to 10:30 p.m. at Downtown Park, 10201 NE Fourth St. Food and beverage vendors open early at 3 p.m. The fireworks show, synchronized to music, begins at 10:05 p.m.

Live music from regional artists will play at the Amazon Entertainment Plaza throughout the evening. Family activities include yard games, a scavenger hunt, a selfie tent, and interactive sports-themed games.

The event is presented by The Bellevue Collection and coproduced with the Bellevue Downtown Association, which has helped produce the fireworks show for nearly three decades. Supporting partners include Amazon, Microsoft, PACCAR, and Puget Sound Energy.

The city encourages attendees to take Sound Transit's 2 Line, which will run extended service until midnight on July 4. Free parking is available after 5 p.m. at Bellevue Collection properties, including Bellevue Square, Lincoln Square North, Lincoln Square South, and Bellevue Place. For a quicker exit after the show, the city recommends parking at Lincoln Square or using the Bellevue Place garage and exiting via Northeast 10th Street.

ADA parking is on the first floor of the southwest Bellevue Square garage, accessible via Northeast Eighth Street turning south onto 101st Avenue. Entry with a permit is open until 9 p.m.

Several streets around Downtown Park will be closed to vehicle traffic. A full list is posted at bellevuewa.gov.

Personal fireworks are banned in Bellevue. The Bellevue Fire Department says selling, using, or possessing them is prohibited, and Fire Prevention Officers will conduct emphasis patrols the evening of July 4. Residents can report fireworks use through the MyBellevue app.

Alcohol, drugs, grills, barbecues, and camp stoves are also not allowed at Downtown Park. Dogs on a six-foot leash are welcome in the park but not in the Amazon Entertainment Plaza seating area. Small tents and canopies must come down by 8 p.m.
