The No. 3 Bellevue High Wolverines beat Eastlake 49-7 on Friday, Sept. 25, in a KingCo 3A/4A Crown South game at Eastlake in Sammamish.
Bellevue built a commanding lead by the end of the third quarter. Eastlake never scored in the fourth. The 42-point margin was the Wolverines' most lopsided victory of the season, topping a 42-9 win over Lynden Christian on Sept. 18.
The result pushed Bellevue to 3-1 overall and 1-0 in Crown South district play, according to MaxPreps. The Wolverines have outscored opponents 119-58 through four games and carry a two-game winning streak after a 32-14 loss at Puyallup on Sept. 12. Before that, Bellevue opened the season with a 14-10 road win over Kennedy Catholic on Sept. 5.
Eastlake, ranked No. 23 in the state, fell to 2-2.
Around the Bellevue School District
Newport had a strong Friday of its own. The Knights routed Redmond 39-7 to improve to 3-1 overall and 3-0 in KingCo 3A/4A Crest play. Newport sits in first place in the Crest division.
Interlake had a tougher night. The Saints lost to Inglemoor 28-7 and dropped to 1-3 overall, sixth in the Crest standings.
Bellevue Christian was shut out by Adna 50-0, as Patch reported.

Bellevue hosts Hazen (0-4) in another Crown South matchup on Friday, Oct. 2, at 7 p.m. The Highlanders are coming off a 69-0 loss to Mount Si. Eastlake faces Skyline, which enters at 4-0, on the same night.
