The Public Lands Alliance is bringing its 2027 Annual Convention and Trade Show to downtown Bellevue, marking what the organization calls its 50th-anniversary year with a five-day gathering at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue.

The convention runs Feb. 7–11, 2027, and is expected to draw hundreds of attendees and roughly 150 exhibitors focused on conservation, public lands partnerships and retail, according to Bellevue Patch.

The event will include four days of educational sessions spotlighting Pacific Northwest public lands.

Founded in 1977 and headquartered in Washington, D.C., the organization represents nonprofit partners serving more than 700 public lands sites across the country, according to PLA's website. President and CEO Andrea Ketchmark has led the group since spring 2026.

PLA staff visited Bellevue ahead of the event for a retreat, touring the host hotel and exploring the city with local partners including Visit Bellevue, Discover Your Northwest and Washington's National Park Fund, the organization said in a September LinkedIn post. The group described the Hyatt Regency Bellevue as modern and elegant, and praised the city's walkability, proximity to public lands and diverse food scene.

On its convention page, PLA called Bellevue "a City in a Park" and highlighted the city's mix of technology, sustainability and outdoor access.

The Hyatt Regency Bellevue, in the heart of downtown, offers more than 70,000 square feet of event space and 732 guest rooms, according to Visit Bellevue. The hotel is part of The Bellevue Collection.

The 2026 convention was held in Daytona Beach, Florida. Registration for the 2027 event opens Oct. 15 at publiclandsalliance.org.
