Bellevue artists and arts nonprofits can apply for city funding through two grant programs before a Saturday, Oct. 10 deadline.
The City of Bellevue's Arts and Culture Program announced Monday, Sept. 14 that it is accepting applications for the 2027–2028 Eastside Arts Partnership and Project Grant programs. The Bellevue Arts Commission will review all submissions and forward recommendations to the City Council for approval. Award decisions are expected in January.
The two programs target different parts of Bellevue's arts community, and each carries its own eligibility rules.
Eastside Arts Partnership
The Eastside Arts Partnership grants provide operational support to nonprofit organizations that deliver arts, cultural and heritage programs for Bellevue residents and visitors.
To qualify, applicants must be located on the Eastside, hold 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status and offer publicly accessible programming.
This track is geared toward established organizations with ongoing programming rather than one-off projects.
Project grants
The Project Grant program offers one-time funding for artists and organizations developing work that addresses cultural gaps and encourages new forms of creative participation in Bellevue. Funded projects must take place in Bellevue in 2027.
Both programs include optional add-on funding for targeted services, according to the city's announcement. Dollar amounts for individual awards and the total funding pool were not listed.
How to apply
Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10. The city is hosting virtual information sessions to walk applicants through the process. Session dates, application requirements and full instructions are available on the city's arts and culture grants page.
Artist Trust, a statewide arts organization, has also listed the opportunity for Eastside King County nonprofits and individual artists.
