Bellevue launched a citywide survey on July 17, asking residents to weigh in on neighborhoods, housing, parks, arts and culture, and sense of community. Responses are due by August 10.
The survey is available in multiple languages and open to anyone who lives, works, or visits Bellevue. It can be taken online at surveys.reconmr.com/S2/1/Bellevue-Q2-Public.
This is the second quarterly community survey of 2026. The first, which closed April 20, focused on utilities, transportation, public safety, and emergency preparedness. The new round shifts to quality-of-life topics that touch every neighborhood.
How the city collects responses
Bellevue uses a two-track approach, according to the city's announcement. A random sample of households received postcard invitations to participate in one version of the survey.
A separate open version, with the same questions in multiple languages, is available to everyone else. The city says the open track helps ensure more demographic groups are reached beyond the postcard sample.
The city partnered with ReconMR, an independent research firm, to administer both tracks. The survey includes questions repeated from previous years so the city can measure change over time.
Why it matters
Results feed directly into how the city evaluates its own performance and sets priorities for improvement.
At the June 23 City Council meeting, councilmembers reviewed findings from the most recent budget survey and found that residents continue to rate quality of life and city services highly, consistent with 2024 results.
The council directed staff to align the proposed 2027–28 budget with the community's top-rated priorities.
Micah Philips, the city's performance and outreach coordinator, is the point of contact for questions about the survey. Residents who need alternate formats, interpreters, or other accommodations can call 425-452-6944 or email [email protected] at least 48 hours before they plan to participate.
