Lake Hills residents can walk their own streets alongside Bellevue city leaders on July 22, then cool off with free ice cream back at the park.
The mile-long stroll departs at 6 p.m. from Lake Hills Community Park and wraps up by 7:30 p.m. with a social gathering at the same spot. The event is free and open to all ages.
Residents who don't want to walk the route are welcome to skip it entirely and meet the group at the park for the ice cream and conversation, according to the city's event page.
Annual series since 2018
The walk is the second of three stops in Bellevue's annual Neighborhood Walks series, which the city has hosted since 2018. The first walk took place in Bridle Trails on July 8, at Cherry Crest Elementary. A third walk heads to Downtown Park on July 30, also from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
According to the city's announcement, the walks typically draw some combination of the city manager, deputy city managers, department directors, and City Council members. No specific attendees have been announced for the Lake Hills walk.
