Dancers, musicians, and cultural groups have until July 24, to apply for a spot on stage at Bellevue's third annual International Festival.

The City of Bellevue announced July 1 that it is accepting performer applications for the festival at Crossroads Park. The event will feature live music and dance performances, food trucks, vendors, family-friendly activities, giveaways, and community information tables.

"The festival's celebration of our city's diverse cultures and communities is becoming an annual tradition the city is proud to support," said Sara Boyle, head of diversity, equity and inclusion for the City of Bellevue.

The city gives preference to acts that include live elements, visual vibrancy, audience engagement, or representation of Bellevue's diverse cultural communities. Performances run 10 to 30 minutes depending on programming needs. Eligible submissions must celebrate cultural traditions or global artistic practices, be family-friendly and suitable for a public audience, and fit safely within the festival's staging and technical setup.

In past years, the festival stage has hosted Danza Azteca performers in full Aztec regalia and taiko drummers, according to city press materials.

The festival is organized through the city's Diversity Advantage Initiative, housed within the Human Resources department. Amazon is providing financial support as the event's sponsor, the city confirmed in a June 23 announcement.

Performers can find the application on bellevuewa.gov by searching "International Festival performers" or navigating to City Government > Human Resources > Diversity Advantage Initiative > Diversity Advantage Events > Bellevue International Festival > Call for Performers. The deadline is Friday, July 24.
