Bellevue's free biennial celebration at City Hall now has a full schedule, and it stretches well beyond the guided tours announced last week.
Experience Bellevue! 2026 runs Saturday, Sept. 19, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Bellevue City Hall, 450 110th Ave. N.E. General admission is free with no ticket required.
As we reported Aug. 12, four Discovery Tours of city facilities are already open for sign-ups. The city has now revealed the rest of the day's programming, according to a Bellevue Downtown Association announcement published Tuesday, Aug. 18.
New additions to the schedule:
- Salsa lessons on the City Hall plaza
- Tai chi and mahjong workshops (limited capacity; registration recommended)
- A KidsQuest Kid Zone with hands-on activities for younger visitors
- Global food vendors representing cuisines from across Bellevue's neighborhoods
- A resident storytelling showcase where community members describe how they built belonging in Bellevue
- Multicultural music and dance performances running throughout the day
- A Bellevue Police Department drone demonstration and a fire truck on display
- A City Hall scavenger hunt for families
Free coffee and pastries will be available until noon while supplies last.
Registration closes Thursday, Sept. 17
Spots in the Discovery Tours and several workshops are limited. The city recommends registering in advance through Eventbrite; the sign-up window closes Thursday, Sept. 17, two days before the event. Walk-up attendance is welcome for everything else.
Welcoming Week's flagship event
Experience Bellevue! caps the city's Welcoming Week, a slate of programming running Monday, Sept. 14, through Saturday, Sept. 19. The city's official announcement describes the biennial event as an effort to welcome residents, strengthen neighborhood connections and highlight Bellevue's cultural diversity. Attendees can meet directly with city leaders throughout the day.
Registration for tours and workshops is free but closes at the end of the day Thursday, Sept. 17.
